Q: Does DF Decryption actually recover the file's password?
A: No. DF Decryption does not recover the password. It removes
security from the file and makes it as if there was no
password set.
Q: Is it safe to upload files? A:
Absolutely. DF Decryption uses the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with a 128-bit
encryption key that automatically encrypts the file as it is bein uploaded to the server.
Once uploaded, files are stored on secured servers.
Q: How can I pay for DF Decryption credits? A: We strongly recommend using our online shopping cart using a credit card. This allows for immediate and automatic delivery of your PIN number so you can start your decryption without delay. Q: What is a DF Decryption Credit?
A: DF Decryption credits are codes that represent the number of files you can decrypt. Credits can be purchased in quantities of 1, 3, 5, 10, & 50.
Q: What is a PIN number? A: The PIN number is a sequence of
numbers and letters, used as a unique identifier of DF Decryption credits purchased. After
placing an order, you will receive an e-mail with your PIN
number. To purchase DF Decryption credits, please visit our Buy Credits page.
Q: What is a JOB ID number? A: Job ID numbers are
unique 19 digit numbers that are assigned to your decryption job each time you start the recovery
process. Job ID numbers help to identify and track the recovery case. Please keep
this number confidential because this is the only authentication token
you have to download decrypted files from the server. We are unable to provide access to decrypted files under any circumstances except through your JOB ID number.
Q: Can someone guess my JOB ID and download my
file? A: It is impossible to guess the 19 digit number in a
reasonable amount of time. In addition, DF Decryption uses verification codes
to prevent unauthorized automated scripts and brute force attempts to access our files or services.
Q: Can I use DF Decryption securely on a public
computer? A: Yes. No private information is cached on your
local PC. You can safely access DF Decryption from any computer.
Q: Are files created with MS Office versions prior
to Office 97 supported? A: No. DF Decryption works with files
created using Word/Excel 2003/2002/2000/97. You can use Decryption Collection software to
recover passwords for older Office files.
Q: Does DF Decryption work with workbook/sheet
protection, vba passwords? A: No. DF Decryption opens files
protected with file-open passwords only. Use Decryption Collection software to
recover workbook/sheet protection or vba passwords.
Q: What other file types are supported (Access,
Outlook, Quicken, etc)? A: DF Decryption works only with
password protected MS Excel files and MS Word documents. To recover
passwords and unlock files for Windows XP/2K/NT, Outlook, Access, WinZip,
Lotus Notes and other popular applications, please visit the Decryption Collection software webpage.
